Landmarks

Learn about our Local SEO strategy and on-page SEO for the award-winning public art program website of The University of Texas at Austin’s College of Fine Arts.

The University of Texas at Austin

Goals

The goal of this project was to improve the overall Google search rankings of Landmarks public art program for important keywords such as “public art,” “art in Austin,” and “public art program in Texas.” In addition, we were to increase website traffic and on-page engagement while achieving page-one visibility in Google search results for the target keywords. The client requested nineteen specific keywords they wanted Page 1 visibility for.

The team at damolade started by conducting an extensive analysis of the Landmarks website and its current search engine rankings. They identified areas where the website could be optimized to improve its search engine ranking and attract more traffic. Based on this analysis, the team developed a comprehensive SEO strategy focusing on on-page, technical SEO, and off-page optimization.

The on-page optimization included updating the website’s meta tags, optimizing page titles and headings, and improving the website’s overall content structure. The team also ensured the website was free of technical errors—the off-page optimization involved optimizing the Google My Business profile.

To improve the website’s visibility on Google search results, damolade also optimized and made strategic recommendations for the blog and press content to help it gain visibility for the target keywords.

As a result of our efforts, the Landmarks website achieved Page One visibility in Google search results for not only nineteen but seventy-seven keywords!  Improving the brand’s overall visibility by 18% in under 90 days.
